Description

This product redesign for surefresh's plastic wrap packaging was designed for the final project of my production class at Pittsburgh Technical College.

The design process proved to be a challenge from the start. I had no clue as to how to effectively rearrange the product's information, and how to include my touch in other design elements. However, while doing some rough thumbnails, I decided that I could try using the company logo as the dominant element. This brought me to think about how shoppers could potentially be more concerned with finding the plastic wrap brand they're interested in rather than the product itself since it's usually placed beside other plastic wraps from other brands. Also, I thought of switching up the main color of the package to one of the tones of blue in the logo itself in order to make it stand out from the rest of the other brands. As a final touch, I replaced the outdated BPA sign with the newer version.

Side note: This is my first attempt at making a mock-up from scratch. I had a hard time finding a mock-up file that worked with my design so I decided to make one of my own.
